Here we have a match made in heaven. This is a 1993 Ford Turbo Diesel 7.3 IDI F250 Extended Cab Truck, paired with a Knapheide Lower profile service bed with a resto-modded 1973 Alaskan Camper mounted to it. The Alaskan campers were designed and marketed by Alaskan to be paired with service bodies, in fact they often touted this with their flagship model on brochures and catalogs as a ford paired with a service body + Alaskan camper. This package completes the look so well. But, it’s not all about looks with this setup. This checks tons of boxes as far as reliability, simplicity and durability. The three cornerstones of many vehicles we offer up for sale here at Ottoex.

This package was lovingly pieced together and up-fitted by it’s current owner, whom we are listing it for sale on behalf of. A detail oriented and thorough designer and craftsman by trade, no stone was left unturned. It was designed it with intentions of living in it fulltime. Plans have changed, and we now have the pleasure of offering this up for sale to a new home. All the hard work, over 500 hours of it, has been lovingly baked into this ensemble. It’s now ripe for the picking and we just know that whoever drives this home will be doing so with a smile on their face.  The F250 truck was lovingly always elderly owned here in the PNW and used only recreationally, never beat on or “worked”. And it shows, the interior and exterior presents so well. It has meticulous maintenance history. The ultra functional Knapheide body was beautifully bolt-off restored within the past year. And no exceptions were made with the 1973 Alaskan, which underwent systems updating and modernization. Including solar, an Espar clone diesel heater, Lithium power, and more. Structurally mold / rot free and sound. Everything freshly re-sealed, and many things rebuilt as needed, including the hydraulic roof lift mechanism. Turn-key, ready to adventure.
