The Hiace regius improves on the Hiace 100 series, with a proper front bonnet, making engine access and service easier – a familiar drivetrain and powerplant, the 3RZ 2.7 Liter Gas engine, identical to the ones used in so many Tacomas – parts and service in North America becomes a no brainer. Along with the safer front end collision rating, you have front passenger and driver side airbags. You also have no engine hump on the interior, which means passing through from the front to the rear is a breeze!
