These AE104 chassis code Corolla wagons were built over a number of years and are an exceptionally special flavor of the corolla wagon. This one is outfitted with simple, and familiar 4AFE 1.6 Liter fuel injected engine, a 5 speed manual transmission sending power to all 4 wheels via Toyota’s All-wheel drive aka Alltrac system. This 1998 wagon is a brilliant package and the Toyota hallmark of reliability and durability. Sporting the same chassis as the AE100 Corolla Wagons sold in North America between 1993-1996. These AE100 series wagons were built several years more in Japan. This one is very well optinoed with some awesome comfort features, putting it a few steps above the domestic models that were sold here. Power reclining mirrors, updated interior upholstery, seats and cushions is a much improved comfort over even the 1996 wagons sold here. Power options across the board including windows, locks, mirrors, and steering. A 5 seater with massive storage space, and fold down the middle row for enough space to even camp in the back. This one owner example out of Japan shows approximately 65,000 original miles. Smells, feels, and drives tight and new. Everything works as it should including heat and AC. Tying the whole package together is a radical Alpine head unit from the lat 90s to blast all your preferred tape’s or CDs of choice. Use it as a family hauler, daily driver, work rig, or adventure mobile. We don’t find many wagons like this. It’s ready for a whole new life ahead of it.
