There are two distinct versions of the 100-series, the 100 and the 105. The two versions look very similar, but there are significant differences under the bodywork. Despite these differences and official model names, both the 100 and 105 are collectively known as the 100 series.

The 105 carried over the majority of its chassis and power train from the 80-series with coil suspended solid axles front and rear, and straight-6 petrol and diesel engines. These models were only sold in African, Australian, Russian, and South American markets.

This is a prime example of a rare poverty pack 1998 HZJ105 Series Land Cruiser. This 105 series sold front axle truck, is powered by the 4.2 Liter Inline 6 Diesel 1HZ Engine. The truck has only 64,000 original miles on it. It was purchased new in 1998 from Peter Davey Toyota in Adelaide, South Australia by the local Fire department. It was regularly but not heavily used, and always stored indoors ( Most likely a beer runner). It received routine maintenance, as per standard for a government / fleet vehicle and as such was maintained very well throughout it’s life. We acquired the truck right after it was decommissioned in mid 2023 from the Fire house. Everything works as it should on this truck, and it drives and present very much like a new vehicle. There are a few signs of use and wear on the interior commensurate with vehicle age, and usage history. That said, you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner 1998 HZJ105 in this STD trim. Drives extremely well, and the undercarriage is clean enough to eat off of.

This truck is highly original, and presents just like it was sold new, with all original Toyota options and accessories still present.
