Perhaps the most unique, and least common Mercedes Sprinter offered in the North American market. This is a 2005 Mercedes Sprinter 118 Wheelbase Passenger Spec, Super high roof. It’s the second to last year of the T1N, the first generation of Sprinters, known for their more simple mechanics, lack of complex diesel emissions systems, and robust longevity. This is a 110,000 original mile example, always garage kept, it is an immaculate van. You will be hard pressed to finder a cleaner example of a 118 passenger High Roof Sprinter. It was purchased brand new by an elderly many in Portland, OR in 2005 from A Dodge dealership in Wyoming and used primarily as a recreational vehicle, for the occasional camping trip, or errand. It’s a one owner and stayed with that owner it’s whole life. After taking it into our possession, we took many more steps towards perfecting an already near perfect van. Piles of new OEM Parts were sourced from Mercedes including new 16″ factory wheels and center caps, various bits and pieces that displayed any sort of wear were replaced, not because they needed to be replaced, but because we simply wanted to go all out, no expense spared with this special survivor of a van. The original owner had a $1,500 premium stereo, and upgraded speakers + tweeters were added completed with updated Bluetooth compatible CD player head unit, which sounds fantastic. We have ALL service records since new. This van was exclusively maintained at Noble Motors, a local Mercedes specialty shop. All service records are included. It was extensively maintained, included a slew of more maintenance we had performed in 2024, all service performed with Mercedes Benz OEM parts. The 16″ Mercedes rims are wrapped in up-sized Cooper Discoverer AT3 All terrain tires, allowing for more clearance, as well as more traction in all weather situations. This van presents, drives, and smells like new. It has been regularly used and maintained each year, and it is a true survivor.

The paint shines like new, the exterior plastics and rubbers shine and feel like new, everything works as it should on this van. These 118 high roofs are exceptionally rare birds and even more so in a passenger spec which includes seating for 8, more insulation and comfort over the cruder, more common windowless and seatless cargo variants. With a turning radius roughly the same as a Subaru wagon, and an interior standing height of over 6ft, they are an incredibly versatile and nimble platform. Very economical to run, this van gets 27mpg on the highway. At Ottoex, we have taken it a step further, perfecting the Mercedes badging conversion with all proper OEM Mercedes parts sourced from Europe, as well as performing further preventative maintenance on the van: a new fuel filter was installed, the transmission was fully survived with new OEM spec fluid, pan gasket, filter, and socket plug. The rear differential was serviced with new fluid, the engine air filter, and cabin air filter were also just replaced with fresh OEM parts. It is simply ready to be taken on adventures or put to work. Use it as a moto van, work van, overland rig, stealth camper, daily driver, grocery getter, whatever you want.
